The Barefoot Cross Thank you Lord, for the gift that has made me whole,
for my life was in crisis and taking its toll.
Crippled by man-made vices of established protection,
came the thoughtless brutality of it's correction.
A twist of fate in a new direction, bestowed a forgotten legacy of freedom,
and in the embrace of this God-given birthright, I behold, the vision of my Kingdom.
Timeless Imprints, echoed in an ageless song, strum the rhythm of my heartbeat,
and the magic of its music, redeems my spirit, as the earth kisses my bare feet.
I shall dance in the moonlight with my head held high,
as my happy hooves take flight under the open sky.
Fine tuned to the beat of a brand new start,
my bare feet have given me such a happy heart.
I pray for the awakening in the hearts of man,
for my fellow horses are dying within his plan.
If only man could truly see the measure of his plight,
then all within my kingdom would receive the blessings of his sight.
My thanks to each and everyone who have taken up the barefoot cross,
your hearts reborn in its testimony, as it spares you from great loss.
For those of you whose hearts have been awakened by my prayer,
may the light of the barefoot cross, give you sight, in the miracle of its care.

The poem's author:
"We had the idea in mind that this poem would represent (in a sense), the symbolism that is carried in the hearts of those committed to the barefoot movement. I also drew a picture of the barefoot cross that I designed, in hopes that individuals committed to this movement would want to purchase a cross, giving them a sense of belonging, and a sense of unity in their commitment. The proceeds made from this venture were to go to Frank Orza, so that he could obtain a patent for his new line of Horse neakers."
