John Sweeney (Person) & Congressman.... is a DECOY! On Sweeney's site there is a Gov. link for all to do their own homework.Please note: John Sweeney (Person) & Congressman.... is a DECOY! He is NOT for the end of horse slaughter! He has a shared list of campaign financial supporters that Goodlatte, Kirk, Steinholm, Burns and the rest of them share. If he was of any concerning merit, his site would speak of his passion and his efforts on the subject. It does not mention anything on Horse slaughter or his bills as of this date: 05-28-05 (When they get wind of this they might add something however) Furthermore, Sweeney at no time felt my tenacious efforts as Jennifer Hughes of Harmony Corral equine rescue, or the creation of USENTA were worthy enough of working together in stopping this atrocity he supposedly felt so strongly about as my local Congressman. Harmony Corral, USENTA and myself have done more on the issue in little more than a year than any others that I have ever spoken with that were known to be the people who were the driving force of hope. With them not only does the horse not have any hope, but hope itself has no chance! Why don't these individuals want to band together to accomplish what we say we are all fighting for including the horse rescues? Everyone has to be better than the other, everyone has to be the one in control, everyone has to be the important one. It is not about anything else but the HORSE! Ego has no place in any sincerity! There is power in numbers and in organization. There is power in unity! USENTA is a clean slate of opportunity for unity in this issue for all that want to see the reality of the end of horse slaughter in a day soon to come! No egos! Just one goal found in the hands, minds and hearts of those who give this country its hope and pride! USENTA. When at first my naive world was introduced to horse slaughter as a reality taking place in this country back in September 2003, I held my first slaughter forum upon my return from DeKalb, IL in protest of the rebuilding of the plant. October 2003 was my first contact with Sweeney's office 2 weeks after my visit and they amused the woman that they thought had found out about something she needed to get off her chest by sending a representative on behalf of Sweeney's bill HR857 to end horse slaughter to my public forum.  I have held a total of 16 forums, one in Arizona at the American Quarter Horse Annual horse show at the Sonoita, AZ fairgrounds in May 2004. My first forum was the only forum that his offices ever attended or supported. Form letters only upon my request ...were given to me to present each night in their place to a room full of constituents who did not understand why their Congressman would not show up or send a representative even when there was a commitment agreed upon by their offices and that commitment was written in the papers about our forums and promotional flyers pledging their attendance. Two of our forums held at the Columbia Green Community College were also no shows by the Congressman or his assistants! My acquaintanceship of business was with: David Taft, Phil Oleva, Vicky Patricia, John Hart, Mr. Phish, Brenda Santiago and several others from Sweeney's office. A parade of individuals taught to socially patronize and put off any and all caring Americans. I would, however, like to make clear that all were very nice while doing so and for a while I thought some of this niceness was real. That's because I believed in the system and I do believe there is good in people of all walks and trades of life.Now, I just don't believe in the system and will expose all the liars,thieves and players that are so good at fooling the average Joe and Jane. Someone has to do it and with my stance on horse slaughter, to see the spirit of the horse set free this is something that must be done. Integrity is in the balance and it just so happens to be centered on the horse! I traveled to Washington in July of 2004 to meet with Sweeney's staff and in October of 2004 I met with his staff again in their Redhook, NY office only to once again be politically patronized and appeased by any of the issues or the plans that were put on the table in that meeting. The intent of the meeting was for us to unequivocally unite in joining forces and design strategic press meeting plans and dates, etc. It was at this meeting that we told Sweeney's Washington office reps. that FURY would become a reality that would go on tour to educate the masses. This was received as a laugh and joke. I told them it would become a reality under USENTA and asked whether they would attend its unveiling. They said absolutely... If not Sweeney himself. I replied that the unveiling of FURY should be a priority for Sweeney to attend if HR857 is of any merit. Not only did Sweeney deem it unnecessary to attend, but did not he feel it necessary either to meet the Columbia County and Tri-County constituents that believed in him and supported him because of their newfound knowledge of his bill HR857 to end horse slaughter. With 3 months of communications and planning the day comes to meet FURY and no representative of the man behind stopping horse slaughter showed up, and they did not even provide an address to the people that attended that very heartfelt Columbia County moment that made FURY a reality. They did not even call or return calls! No effort in any part was ever made in the direction of assistance in the ending of horse slaughter by Congressman Sweeney. Furthermore, Sweeney supports and interacts with all the other local rescues of my area and never with ours! His ENTIRE circle of relations screams the end of horse slaughter and last year they held a party with Willie Nelson to help raise money to accomplish this dream. But these galas have no strategic outline on how and where this money will help end horse slaughter by way of their efforts. Miraculously....not a year later, this rescue friend of Sweeney that held this gala fundraising concert event takes ownership of a new farm, NEW BARN and... with over 100 acres I do believe it was, and horse slaughter continues! By the way, we invited Willie Nelson to take part in our Freedom Ride last year for a concert at the Washington monument and his Manager Mr. Mark Ross Balm never returned our calls. His Assistant Sandy was always very rude and unhelpful and it would not be surprising if she never passed along my messages. It was on my eighth call that he finally spoke with me in an arrogant manner that later would reveal a conflict of interest because of the relationship matter in the Sweeney circle of power, corruption and deceit. Mark Ross Balm hung up on me and said Willie Nelson would be out of the country and we could never afford his services. All these little moments in time and crossreferences of occurrences are putting together a mighty big puzzle where it is clear to see that there is TRULY NOT one person out there that is associated with stopping horse slaughter that has any character credibility or meritable worth in doing so. To all that this applies.... USENTA is your opportunity to PROVE IT! USENTA is the OMNIpresence of the End of Horse Slaughter and it is the ONLY place of integrity that exists for the righteous who are of merit in stopping horse slaughter.
