She and 2 of her rescue horses made history Monday, September 13, 2004 when they rode into Washington, DC to the White House to Declare the Horse a National Treasure. Others from across the country and Washington Mounted Police joined her in the Historical Brigade! The Pony Express, which is Ms. Hughes and her 7 year old Thoroughbred Coby, collected 6,000 petitions from her efforts in less than 4 months. Ms Hughes has an Iron Fist on the Horse Slaughter Issue and is the force and leader of the Nation in stopping it! Horse Slaughter is the FASTEST growing Industry in this country and the shameful evil hand at the Reign is by that of House Agriculture Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, a Virginia Republican, and Democrat Charlie Stenholm of Abilene, Texas. Goodlatte is also working with others from Illinois and Washington, DC that are lobbying to do away with all Mounted Police from Coast to Coast. They say: The Horse as an officer of the law is Ridiculous and the Horse does not deserve such a Title. They furthermore are arguing on Capitol Hill that the Mounted Police horse is useless in crowd control and law enforcement...and that it is a waste of taxpayers' dollars.... The first mounted units aimed to be dismantled are that of Washington, DC. Do you see the "AGENDA"....It is loud and clear! 9/11 was a moment in time to learn from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dismantlement of Mounted Police is a National Security and Homeland Security concern of catastrophic proportions! There currently are over 75 Mounted Police Departments in the US and thousands of jobs and lives at risk! Goodlatte wants to have horse meat sold in American stores within 5 years and is currently testing American horses in hidden locations...trying to develop the "Free Range Horse" EXCLUSIVELY BRED FOR SLAUGHTER LIKE COWS! Americas " Hidden Dirty Secret" is transported by undercover of the night on US Interstates...stuffed into triple Decker cattle trucks is another eye-opening horrific part of Goodlatte's agenda! In 1949 the Texas Legislature amended the state's Agriculture Code (Section 149.002), making it "ILLEGAL " to slaughter, possess, sell and transport horsemeat for human consumption. Yet for 53 years the law has been ignored by many including Mr.George W. Bush!
